Don't laugh...apparently Nick thought this was important news for the week of January 26. The fact that he now loves yogurt was a new discovery. He always hated it before, but admitted he'd never tried it. This is another good thing that happens on missions...an investigator gave him some yogurt, two days later he ran out of breakfast food, so he tried it. He loved it, said it was delicious and quickly bought some more.
Now to the serious stuff...Jeremy is doing better. There are 8 sections of each discussions, and they usually only get through one section at a time with Jeremy because he talks about his crazy dreams. But they actually got through two sections this week!
They're teaching a less active family. Brother Poulson is THE man! He works at a fish place, so he gave them about a hundred dollars of fish. It is already filleted, boneless and breaded, so it's way good. He saved lots of grocery money this week! Brother Poulson said he'd come to church even though he hasn't been in over a year. Oh, and the wife and kids are cool too!
Mike, a new investigator came to church. He liked it and said he'll come back. He has kind of a long way to go, but nothing is ever easy. (Nick said that?)
They started teaching another new family, the Pearsons. They are awesome. They want to be baptized, so that will be cool.
One of the bishops gave them a solid referral, so that should work out well.
And probably more important than a new love of yogurt...they had dinner with the Walkers on Friday night (a very cool family). Their son said that no missionary has every beaten him at basketball. So of course Nick had to play. And he won, even in his church clothes. It was awesome!!!
