Nick loves Idaho???

Nick missed p-day in Idaho on Tuesday while traveling there, so he got to email us the next day to tell us about his arrival in Boise. President Yardley is way cool...Nick loves him. Nick told President Yardley that Melissa would be going to college in Idaho and wanted to come visit him. Pres. Y said Melissa could hang out as much as she wanted because he liked it that they were close, and said Nick's love for his sister would make him a good missionary.

Here is a portion of Nick's email: "This is now my second day in Boise and it's pretty sweet so far. I'm actually liking it a lot. My trainer is Ryan Kraus hahahaha. Sooo crazy. I think it's going to be a lot of fun serving with him. We went tracting for only 30 minutes yesterday and got let into one house and talked to them (but had to refer them to the spanish speakers), and got 2 return appointments. This one elder that has been here 20 months told me he has never gotten into a door his whole time. And this morning I taught my first lesson. It was awesome! The guy has been inactive and Elder Kraus has been working on him for 4 months and today he committed to coming to church this weekend. And last night we saw a 10 second shooting star, so basically I am his good luck charm. Also last night I got a good meal. Sooo bomb....so the mission is bomb so far. Cool people out here. I have some more lessons tonight...the place I'm living in is a members home. We have the whole basement. It's sweet. Not Orange County but it makes you appreciate home a lot more. The town is smaller than what we're used to but it doesn't mean it's not cool. I'm close to boise. The area is called west Boise, but it's not downtown Boise."

"One guy told us he couldn't meet with us for a lesson because..... 'I can't...I'm...... dead,' then slammed the door. I was like, oh really sir cuz you just talked to us. But he was a senile old man I think. There are some crazy people, but all in all I love it so far. I have had the two coolest compainions poosible so far. Anyways its only been a day so not much to say."

Sounded to me like he had a lot to say for only one day. He sounds so excited that's it's hard to believe he's working hard and not just having fun. He's also excited because he says they get to play flag football on the smurf turf (the Boise State blue field). Too much fun?!
